The main nursery is located in San Carlos, Mendoza, approximately 90 km from Mendoza city. There, the company owns 70 hectares and cultivates around 20 hectares of nursery plants each year, rotating plant production with cover crops for at least two years.
VIANSA harvests plants with leaves and without leaves, as fresh plants in April. These plants are immediately sent to fruit producers in northern Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil, and begin production between 60 and 90 days after being harvested in the nursery.
Plants harvested in winter are shipped by air and sea container to different locations around the world, and also supply the demand for cold-stored plants in Buenos Aires and other regions of Argentina.
