Strawberry plant nursery
VIANSA, with its nurseries of the Southern Hemisphere, located at the foot of the Andes in the province of Mendoza and in the heart of the Patagonia at 43 degrees latitude in the province of Chubut is company on the leading edge of strawberry technology.
VIANSA established its strawberry plant nursery 11 years ago, starting with only six hectares. Today the company owns 76 hectares in the department of San Carlos (about 900 meters high) and leases about 40 hectares in the province of Chubut close to the city of Esquel, about 800 meters high and at 43 degrees latitude.
VIANSA plants about 30 hectares of strawberry nursery stock per year in rotation with various other crops. VIANSA produces about 30 million strawberry plants per year. The nursery fields and strawberry plants are inspected and certified by SENASA (Servicio Nacional de Sanidad Agroalimentaria), the national phytosanitary service . The genetic integrity of all plant material is registered and certified by INASE (Instituto Nacional de Semillas), the national service in charge of seed certification.

In addition to supplying strawberry plants for the Argentine market, VIANSA exports about 50% of its production (about 15,000,000 plants per year) to diverse international markets , including countries in South America, Europe, North Africa and Asia. VIANSA is one of the most important nurseries in the world due to the quality of its product, the wide selection of varieties and the volume of strawberry plants it produces.

VIANSA´s objective is to supply its clients with specific varieties of strawberry plants suitable for different production zones, so that the plants produce fruit according to the demands of each market

To achieve this objective, VIANSA takes three strategies into account: ,

1) To maintain the phytosanitary health of the plants.
2) To offer a wide selection of varieties.
3) To produce in distinct climatic zones in order to optimize the vigor of the plants at the time of delivery to the client.
